Spirit Days, Events and Celebrations

Spirit Days

At Kilittaşı and Keystone, Spirit Days bring together creativity and celebration to unite our community in a beloved tradition. Held monthly, these special days, such as Crazy Hair Day, Pajama Day, and Ugly Sweater Day, encourage students to express themselves and participate with enthusiasm.

Spirit Days are more than just themed outfits. These days offer students, teachers, and staff the chance to connect, highlight shared values, and experience school in a more joyful way. Stepping outside routines, these events inspire creativity, boost confidence, and strengthen the sense of unity in our school.

School Events

We also organize schoolwide events where the entire Kilittaşı and Keystone community comes together. Signature events such as Winter Fest, A Day at School, Francophonie Day, and Summer Fest allow families, students, teachers, and staff to experience the celebratory spirit of our school as one big family.

Celebrations

We joyfully celebrate national holidays such as National Sovereignty and Children’s Day (April 23), Republic Day (October 29), and Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day (May 19). These occasions teach our students about national values while fostering unity and togetherness through meaningful celebrations.

Crazy Hair Day

Kick off the school year with a burst of creativity! Students can show off their colourful hairstyles and fun accessories.

October

Republic Day

We celebrate the anniversary of the founding of our Republic with great enthusiasm, honoring our greatest celebration through the performances of our students and teachers.

Fall Festivities

Prepare for a spooktacular day filled with costumes, candy, and fun! Students can dress as their favorite characters, monsters, or superheroes to celebrate the season.

Pijama Day

Stay cozy and comfortable in your PJs! Students can wear their favorite sleepwear to school for a relaxed and enjoyable day of learning.

WinterFest

Embrace the holiday spirit with WinterFest! Enjoy festive decorations, seasonal activities, delicious food, new year bazaar stalls and perhaps even a visit from Santa Claus himself.

January

A Day at School

Kilittaşı & Keystone Kindergarten parents spend a day at school as 1st Graders, experiencing firsthand the environment their children will soon step into. Our wonderful Grade 1 teachers take them to classes such as Science, French, English, Music and Visual Arts, and they finish up the day with lunch at the cafeteria.

Francophonie Day

Celebrate the French language and Francophone culture with special activities, performances, and educational initiatives.

World Water Day

We wear blue to raise awareness about water conservation and to remember the ways and importance of saving water.

Keystone’s Got Talent

A fun-filled show where our students showcase their talents and discover their creative potential!

Students explore cuisines from around the world and showcase traditional attire from various countries, promoting cultural appreciation and understanding.
