Counseling
Our counselling department believes that education is a lifelong journey that nurtures individuals socially, emotionally, and academically. The foundation of this journey begins in the family and is further developed at school. Recognizing individual differences and personality formation is central to our approach.
We aim to create a safe and warm educational environment where students can discover their potential, express their feelings and thoughts, and adapt to new environments and social activities. Social-emotional development is a cornerstone of our guidance services, fostering empathy, problem-solving skills, and self-awareness.
At Kilittaşı & Keystone, we are committed to raising individuals who are at peace with themselves and society, curious, adventurous, and capable of achieving their goals. By working closely with students, families, and educators, we strive to support every child’s developmental journey and prepare them for a balanced, joyful, and productive future.
Kindergarten Counselling
Psychological counselling and guidance services in our school are carried out by our psychological counsellors to help students get to know and understand themselves, discover and develop their characteristics, and make the most of the educational process they are in. Individual characteristics of students and the recognition and development of these characteristics are of utmost importance.
The following studies are carried out within the scope of Guidance Services:
- Parent interviews to get to know the students
- Parent information studies
- Observation and individual interviews to get to know the students
- Planning and maintaining the orientation process to facilitate students’ adaptation to school
- Class studies supporting the social and emotional development of students
- Consultancy activities for teachers and administrators
The preschool period is when a child develops a sense of belonging outside their home and family for the first time. It is crucial to support the child in social and emotional processes such as adaptation, self-knowledge, recognizing emotions, and communication. Psychological counsellors monitor the developmental processes of students, create records about these processes, and work in cooperation with teachers and parents.

Counseling for Students
Our most basic aim is to raise children as socially and emotionally independent individuals who can solve problems and have high awareness. Students are supported through individual interviews, group work, and in-class preventive guidance activities. Guidance counsellors also observe students in the school environment, make individual and group counselling interventions when necessary, and prepare developmental and preventive counselling services focused on the students’ development.
Counseling for Families
The most basic education starts in the family, and the child mirrors the family. Kilittaşı & Keystone collaborate with parents to develop children emotionally and socially. School psychologists inform families about their children’s development and experiences through routine family interviews and individual meetings.
In the middle school, guidance counsellors communicate with the student’s social circle to understand the student’s needs. Parents can request appointments to discuss their child’s progress. These meetings are confidential, and counsellors organize sessions to improve parenting skills and relationships with their children.
Counseling for Teachers
Our counsellors work with administrators and teachers, holding regular meetings to identify and resolve student needs and problems. Counselors provide consultancy for teachers and organize meetings and presentations on various topics.
