DEAR Hour

Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) is a cherished initiative at Kilittaşı & Keystone that encourages a lifelong habit of reading. During DEAR hours, everyone on campus, from security personnel to 3-year-olds, pauses their activities to focus on reading. This inclusive practice allows younger students to develop a love for books by observing teachers read daily, embodying our belief that books are windows to the world, supporting emotional, spiritual, cognitive, and social growth. DEAR is more than just a routine; it’s a celebration of the joy and transformative power of reading.
